A performance of the treasured oboe that the Museum of Musical Instruments boasts ~ Stinsby Sr. and Kroenig ~
Volume 22 of the Hamamatsu City Musical Instrument Museum Collection Series includes the sounds of two baroque oboes: the Stinsby Senior, who is said to be the Stradivarius of oboes, and the luxurious Kroenig, which is made of all ivory and silver keys. The many elegant baroque pieces played by master Masashi Honma with his friends perfectly convey the unique luster and shadow of the oboe, which has a history of several hundred years.
