The underpants run small. I usually wear 3XL but even 4XL is a bit tight so I'm going to try 5XL now. You should NOT compare the underpants with a pad, rather as a leak protection in case the pad or tampon fail and the pants would otherwise get dirty. I use them when I cough or sneeze because of a mild bladder weakness because they are less annoying and more environmentally friendly than constantly wearing extra large panty liners or pads. When it comes to quality, you have to take into account that the low price is reflected in the quality of the material (NOT in the processing!). But how much quality do you need? My mother has been using the panties for years and they last about 2 years on her before they become too baggy. Do you really need menstrual underwear that lasts longer, or wouldn't you need a pair of new underwear anyway?

These are NOT period pants! The gusset is very thin and you can clearly see will not hold any blood flow. Ive bought many period pants before and know what type of fabric should be used. Others might not and wear these as period pants and get leaks. They are just normal underwear advertised as period pants and not worth what i paid.
